Mr. William Carroll “Scope” Garrett, 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Greenville Health System. He was born in Greenville and was a son of the late John Henry and Mary Ellen Wilson Garrett.
William was educated in the Greenville County School System. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, David Lee, John Albert and Charles Benjamin Garrett; one nephew, Michael Littlejohn; and his ex-wife, Ruby Garrett.
Left with many fond memories are one sister, Mary Elizabeth Garrett (Edward) Littlejohn of Edenton, NC; one brother, Eugene Garrett of Greenville; one niece; seven nephews; girl friend, Mae Bell Alexander and her son, Roy Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
