Brother Ulysses Simpson Grant Sweeney III was 86 and departed this life on Monday, October 13, in Florence, SC. 

He was the husband of Laura Sweeney, the father of Ulysses Simpson Grant Sweeney IV, Lauranette D. Sweeney Ford, Clarence Reginald Sweeney, Craig A. Sweeney, and Julius Smith. 

You may visit the family at 3413 Sweeney Ct., Mullins, SC.Public viewing and rites will be held at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 425 Henry McGill Jr. Street, Marion, on Friday, October 17, at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the CD Joyner Auditorium, located at 161 Elizabeth St. in Marion, on Saturday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Devotions Gardens Cemetery, 2931 US-76, Mullins. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill
