Mrs. Thomasena Bates Rhodes, 93, of 6030 Sargent Road, Hyattsville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2016. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Lee Singleton Bates.
She is survived by daughters, Blanche A. Drakeford of Hyattsville, MD and Sarah Floree Rhodes of Washington, DC; eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
