Mr. Steven Richard “Gilmore” Brooks, 67, of Greenville, South Carolina, was born on December 10, 1951, in Taylors, South Carolina, and departed this life on Sunday, April 22, 2018. He was a son of the late James “Shorty” Hall and Thelma Pollard Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Milton Pollard.
He is survived by one daughter, Janice Lindsey (Reginald) Smith of Greenville; three grandchildren, Danzel Smith, Celena Smith and Joshua Smith; one great-grandchild, Gino Santana; a sister-in-law, Mary Pollard of Greenville; two nephews, Terje and Cedric Pollard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be dearly missed by all of us who knew and loved him.
