Mr. Robert Lee “Flop” Booker, 77, of Taylors, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Patewood Rehabilitation & Health. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Katherine Reeder Booker.
He was educated in the Laurens County School System and was a member of Spirt and Truth Ministries.
“Flop” was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Annie Pearl Young, Minyoun Boyd and Myra Boyd and a brother, Aldo Boyd.
Left to cherish many memories are his wife, Mattie Grove Booker of Taylors, SC; daughters, Nancy Booker Woodruff, Peggy (Adolphus) Ware, and Angie B. Woodruff (Sammie) Johnson, all of Taylors, SC: sons, Robert Booker, Jr., Walter (Sandra) Booker, Tommy (Sherrie) Booker, all of Taylors, SC, and Willie (Monica) Booker of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Shirley Archie of Greensboro, NC, Beverly Sawyer and Bobbie Jean Banks, both of Richmond, VA, and Tina and Sarah Ann Booker of Laurens, SC; brothers, Rev. J.B. Booker, Terry Booker, Scottie Booker and Bobby Booker, all of Laurens, SC; thirty grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends
