Richard Burgess

Mr. Richard E. Burgess, Sr., 82, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Prisma Heath Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late William S. Burgess and Willie Mae Singles.

Surviving: his wife, Brenda Burgess of the home; two sons, Mark Burgess of NC and Richard E. Burgess, Jr. of NJ; three sisters, Bertha Bear of Tampa, FL, Carolyn V. Chaney of VA, and Alva (John) Woody of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Harold Boyce Burgess of FL, and Clifton Stewart of Easley, SC; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service: Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 3:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
