Mr. Raymond "Big Popa" Owens, 91, of Piedmont, South Carolina, husband of Betha Williams Owens, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his residence. He was the son of the late4 Christopher Owens and Lula Mae McJunkins Owens.
Surviving: in addition to his wife, four daughters, Patrice Faye (Dennis) Brock of t he home, Pamela Williams of Dallas, TX, Sheron (Connye) Browning of Radcliff, KY and Corrine (Gregory) Robinson of Greenville, SC; two sons, Boyce (Minnie) Owens, Jr., of Greenville, SC and Raymond Chris Owens of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Josephine Owens House and Mable Owen Clarke, both of Pickens, SC; one brother, Clifton (Vernell) Owens of Pickens, SC; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, January 20, 2024, 12:00noon, at Soapstone Baptist Church, with interment in Church Cemetery.
