Ms. Pauline Savannah “Tootsie” Griggs, 98, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016, at St. Francis Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was the last surviving child of the late Cicero and Lula Williams Griggs.
“Tootsie” was employed at J.P. Stevens for many years. She was a member of Nicholtown Missionary Baptist Church and was known for her good cooking and vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ulysee, William, James, John Henry, Harper, David and Joseph Griggs, and sisters, Julia Stokes, Daisy Ross and Katie Griggs.
She leaves to cherish many fond and loving memories: her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews along with great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
