Mrs. Ophelia Kennedy Jenkins, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vardry Kennedy; her mother, Tessie Mae Pinson Kennedy; her husband, Sam Jenkins and a son, Bryan Keith Jenkins.
Left to cherish many fond memories are two daughter, Debra Counts and Sheila R. Jenkins, both of Greenville; one son, Sam E. Jenkins of Greenville; three brothers, Vardry (Lenora) Kennedy of Moncks Corner, SC, Steve Kennedy of Greenville and Glenn Kennedy of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Sherika Jenkins, Sasha (Michael) Starks, Kayla Jenkins and Shavario Pate; ten great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Shela Young; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends
