In Loving Memory of Marjorie Veronica Nicholas-Randall

August 21, 1949 – June 6, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we remember and celebrate the life of Marjorie Veronica Nicholas-Randall, a devoted mother and sister, a treasured grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Marjorie passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6th, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

Born in Petit Valley, Trinidad, on August 21, 1949, to Joseph Woodriffe and Sybil Nicholas, Marjorie was the fourth of nine children. From an early age, she carried within her a quiet strength and gentle spirit that would blossom into a life of nurturing devotion and unshakable faith.

Reunited with her mother in New York as a young girl, Marjorie embraced the opportunities of her new home while never forgetting her Caribbean roots and values that shaped her. A proud graduate of the New York Public School System, she later trained and excelled as a Weidler at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi—rising through the ranks by the strength of her work ethic and the respect she earned from all who knew her.

Mississippi became more than a workplace—it was a spiritual home. At Antioch Baptist Church, Marjorie was a faithful servant, contributing her time and heart to various ministries, including dedicated service on the Usher Board. Her faith in Christ was her foundation, guiding her in every chapter of life with grace and purpose.

In 1978, Marjorie returned to New York with her children and made a home in the Bronx. During that time, she began working for PFP, where she sold life insurance. A role in which her care for people and her natural ability to connect truly shined. Through her commitment and leadership, she rose to the position of Branch Manager, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
