Ms. Mabel Lucille Mahaffey

Mrs. Mabel Lucille Conway Smith Mahaffey, 86, of Pelzer, South Carolina, widow of the late Twightman Joseph Mahaffey, transitioned on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Fredrick Conway and Leola Brimm Conway.

Surviving: Loraine Smith (Milton, Sr.) Davis of Gilbert, SC and Tanya Smith- Brice of Lacey, WA; three sons, Michael D. (Regina) Smith of Charlotte, NC, Stoney Edgar (Bridgette) Smith of Simpsonville, SC and Samuel L. (Maria) Smith, Jr. of Greenville, SC; three sisters, Annie Lee (Billy) Hailstock, Greenville, SC, Adele (Roland) Woodberry and Delores Marie Chavis both of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law, Mary Sailor Conway of Quincy, FL; brother-in-law, Elmer Bryant of Queens, NY; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday, May 3, 2025, 1:00pm at I 85 Church of Christ with interment private.
