Ms. Lula B. McGowan

Ms. Lula B. McGowan, 71, of Greenville, transitioned on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital – Eastside. She was a daughter of the late Grover McGowan and Susie McGowan Hughes.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, two daughters, LaKisha (Lanness) McGowan of Greenville, SC, and Clarice McGowan, of Taylors, SC; two sons, Argentina McGowan and Steven McGowan, both of Greenville, SC; six sisters, Sarah Richardson, Linda McGowan, Betty Coleman, Wanda McGowan, Willis Mae McGowan, all of Greenville, SC, and Mertis Sims of Rockford, IL; two brothers, Sylvester Burnside and Edward (Shameiaka) McGowan, both of Greenville, SC; twenty-four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Sunday, August 23, 2026, 2:00pm, at Watkins, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
