Mrs. Lillie R. "Sis" Gaines

Mrs. Lillie R. "Sis" Gaines, 74, of Greenville, the wife of James Gaines, for 34, years, transitioned on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her residence. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Lillie Bell Young Maronie.

Surviving: two daughters, Michelle Davis, of Greer, SC; and Latosha Range (Tavares McGhee) of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Jimmy (Bobbie Jean) Maronie, Jose Maronie, and Curtis (Tammy) Maronie, all of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Thursday, January 8, 2026, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
