Mrs. Peggy Joyce Burton, 89, of Taylors, widow of the late J C Burton, transitioned on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Prisma Healthcare Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Hawkins Durham.
Surviving: two daughters, Judy (Sylvester) Durham, and Yvonne Bowick both of Greenville, SC; one son, Maurice Vickers of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren, biological grandson, Raymond (Tashia) Durham of Fountain Inn, SC, Latoya Farmer and Maurice Vickers, Jr; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Monday, February 9, 2026, 4:00pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment private.
