Ms. Ella M. Black

Ms. Ella M. Black, 80, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, transitioned on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Prisma Healthcare Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Book and Hannah Hortense Durham Black.

In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Black, A. B. Black, and Walter Black, Sr.

Surviving: one daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Parker (Marlon Brooks) of Effingham, SC; two sons, Frederick Taylor of Simpsonville, SC and Ronald Myron (Jennifer) Bowling, Jr., of Simpsonville, SC; one sister, Georgianna Black (Frank) Taylor, of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Henry Samuel (Martha) Black of Liberty, SC and James Perry “JP” Black of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren, Myra Ventura Bowling, Maximino Enrique Rosa, Jalena Thaliyah Rosa, Juliana Alyssa Marchese, Javier Myron Bowling and Jalen Marques Bowling; special daughter Ingrid Bowling and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation with Family: Saturday, February 22, 2025, 12:00pm - 1:00pm, at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church. 

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 22, 2025, 1:00pm, at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 225 Three Bridges Road, with interment in Church Cemetery.
