Born on January 5, 1955, in Greenville, South Carolina, Mother Deborah Puckett was preceded by the late Geraldine Arnold, and graduated from Greenville High School with the Class of 1974. As the widow of SSG Henry Puckett Jr., an Army veteran, she accompanied her husband on various domestic and international assignments, including California, Florida, Germany, Italy, Oklahoma, and Texas, which significantly broadened her perspective and enriched her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Damiko Hill and his domestic partner Brandon Ruff of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Shamika Smith; son-in-law Thomas Smith of Mauldin, South Carolina; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, god-children, great-godchildren, sisters, sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins' numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her. RIP Mom!
