Mrs. Curtisteen Sims Retired United States Postal Service Curtisteen Sims of Simpsonville, South Carolina, peacefully went to be with God on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown, Greenville, SC. Born in Union, South Carolina, she is the daughter of the late Curtis Sims, Sr., and Daisy Lee Simpson Sims. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Cannon, brother Robert “Mickey” Anderson Sims, her sister Rev. Dianne V. Sims, and her nephew Curtis Thomas.
Surviving are: her daughter, Andrea “Peaches” Mason (Paul) of Duncan, SC; three grandchildren: Davon L. Mason (Saleena) of Mauldin, SC; Cameron D. Mason (Kelsey) of Blythewood. SC; and Kyah Rae Mason, of Duncan, SC. She also leaves four sisters: Carol Dixon, of Bryan, TX; Mary Walton, of Bloomfield, CT; Shirley Clay, of Shreveport, LA; Betty Sims of Charlotte, NC, and two brothers Morris Ray, Simpson, Sr.(Patricia) of Babson Park, Florida and Curtis Sims Jr. of Union, SC: eight nieces, three nephews, and many other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church, 28 Bolt Street, Greenville, SC. The family will be at her home in Simpsonville, SC, on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 9th, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary Inc., 1011 Augusta Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29605, is in charge of the services.
