Mrs. Mary Alton Dawson Austin

Mrs. Mary Alton Dawson Austin, 92, of Greenville, widow of the late Furman Austin, Jr., transitioned on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her residence. Born in Abbeville, SC; she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Fannie Robinson Dawson.

Surviving: three daughters, Cynthia (Kenneth) Johnson, of Anderson, SC; Sharon Norman, and Ingrid (Steven) Bonner all of Greenville, SC; two sons, Charles P. Austin, of Columbia, SC; and Robert Austin, of Greenville, SC; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, January 3, 2025, 1:00pm, at Tabernacle Baptist Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
