Mrs. Mary Alton Dawson Austin, 92, of Greenville, widow of the late Furman Austin, Jr., transitioned on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her residence. Born in Abbeville, SC; she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Fannie Robinson Dawson.
Surviving: three daughters, Cynthia (Kenneth) Johnson, of Anderson, SC; Minister Sharon D. Norman, and Ingrid (Steven) Bonner all of Greenville, SC; two sons, Reverend Dr. Charles P. Austin, of Columbia, SC; and Robert Austin, of Greenville, SC; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, January 3, 2026, 1:00pm, at Tabernacle Baptist Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
