Mrs. Johnnie Mae Hackney, 81, wife of Louis Hackney for 57 years, transitioned Wednesday October 14, 2026, Patewood Post Acute. Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel Crosby and Rosa Bryson.

Surviving in addition to her husband, two daughters, Sonya (Jimmy) Kirksey of Tampa, FL, and Phillis (Joshua) McMiller of Harker Heights, TX; one God-daughter, Regina (Louis) Johnson of Greenville, SC; one sister, Mamie Myers of Plainfield, NJ; eleven grandchildren, Christopher (Charlotte) Nelson, of Seneca, SC, Ashley (Cory) Starks of Simpsonville, SC, Johnathan Nelson of Tampa, FL, Jessica (Nomi) Nelson of Vidor Tx, Isabella Kirksey of Las Vegas, NV, Corbin White of Killen Tx, Jhaylin (Malcolm) Davis, Jhayda McMiller, Cameron McMiler, Josiah McMiller, all of Harker Heights, TX, and Joshua McMiller, of Tempi, AZ; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Thursday, October 22, 2026, 11:00AM, Watkins, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary, with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
