Mrs. Georgia Ann Thompson

Mrs. Georgia Ann Shands Thompson, 72, wife of Charles Larry Thompson for 25 years, of Piedmont, transitioned Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at St. Francis Downtown. Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Marion Lewis and Ruth Ellen Golightly Shands.

Surviving in addition to her husband, two daughters, Niketah Hunt and Kelly Hunt, both of Greenville, SC; three sons, Trey (Shunda) Hunt of Simpsonville, Demetrius (Aisha) Smith, and Travis Thompson, both of Piedmont, SC; one sister, Donna Shands of Brandywine, MD; one brother, Derrick Shands of Greenville, SC; twelve grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, October 27,2026, 3:30PM, at Watkins, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
