Mrs. Genniev McCombs Wright

Mrs. Genniev McCombs Wright, 76, of Greenville, wife to Rev. William Charles Wright, of 54 years, transitioned on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at McCall Hospice House. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Luther McCombs and JanIe Byrd McCombs.

Surviving: in addition to her husband of the home, one daughter, Jennifer Crite, of Greenville, SC; one son, Christopher Wright, of Piedmont, SC; eight sisters, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rogers, Anna Glenn, Nancy Collins, Virginia Brown, of Easley, SC; Lynn Dania, of Spartanburg, SC; Dena McCombs, Carol Spurgeon, all of Greenville, SC; and Lisa Manning, of Detroit, MI; one brother, Richard McCombs, of Greenville, SC; one grandchild, Nyomie Crite, of Greenville, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the residence, from 1:00pm - 6:00pm, please call ahead.

Funeral Services: Thursday, July 2, 2026, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
