Mr. William Douglas McGowens, 64, of West Columbia, transitioned on Friday, March 6, 2026 at his residence. Born in Greenville County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Willie Raymond and Mary Ann Blassingame McGowens.
Surviving: two sons, Kelvin McGowens of Augusta, GA and John E. McGowens of Columbia, SC; four sisters, Pamela (Tony) Brandon of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer McGowens and Mae Hellen Cox both of Travelers Rest, SC and Stephanie (Undra) Durrah of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Timothy McGowens of Jacksonville, FL and John McGowens of Travelers Rest, SC; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation/Viewing: Thursday, March 26, 2026, 5:00pm - 7:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
