Mr. William Henry "Coot" Hopkins

Mr. William Henry “Coot” Hopkins, 72, of Piedmont, transitioned on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Ross Garrett, Sr. and Ruby Babb Hopkins.

Surviving: one daughter, Michelle (Bryan) Watson and one son, Jeffery Hopkins both of Greenville, South Carolina; five sisters, Gladys Hopkins, and Sarah Chapman both of Piedmont, South Carolina; Carrie Moon and Annie Hopkins both of Easley, South Carolina; and Daisy Jeanette (Anthony) Warnex of Greenville, South Carolina; three brothers, James Hopkins, John H. Hopkins and Tommy (Sylvia) Hopkins all of Piedmont, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, July 18, 2026, 3:30pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment private.
