Mr. Thaddeus Wadsworth "Thad" Franklin, Sr., 86, of Greenville, South Carolina, husband of Barbara Blassingame Franklin for forty years, transitioned on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Prisma Health-Easley. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Theodore and Blanche Morris Franklin.

Surviving, in addition to his wife: three daughters, Jacqueline F. McCants of Las Vegas, NV, Jacquelyn B. (Rodney) Wakefield of Pickens, SC, and Melissa B. Jefferies (Bruce Brown) of Greenville, SC; six sons, Thaddeus W. (Angela) Franklin, Jr., of West Des Moines, IA, Michael A Franklin of Dallas, TX, Curtis R. Franklin of Albuquerque, NM, William P. (Jacqueline) Franklin of Fayetteville, NC, Virgil L (Wanda) Franklin of Fort Mitchell, AL, and Robert Bowens of Easley, SC; three sisters, Aurelia Smith of Greenville, SC, Essie Oates of West Nyack , NY, and Vivian Hunter of Greenville, SC; one brother, Ellis Franklin, of Altadena, CA; thirty-four grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, March 15, 2025, 12:00pm, at Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
