Mr. Trenell “Truck” Thurmond, 66, of Greenville, transitioned on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the Ada Lee Chapman Williams and the late J C Thompson.
Surviving, in addition to his mother: two daughters, Laquinta Denise Smith and Temika (Lorenzo) Powers both of Greenville, SC; two sons, Trenell Ormond Smith of Greenville, SC and Trevis Lamar Thurmond of Texas; two sisters, Diane Thurmond and Vicky Samuel both of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Ted Thurmond and Reverend Michael (Teresa) Thurmond both of Greenville, SC and Darnell (Mary Ann) Thompson of Pelzer, SC; twenty grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, May 24, 2025, 1:00pm, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, with interment in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
