Mr. Obie Walker Jr.

Obie Walker Jr., born October 7, 1945, in Greenville, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on October 12, 2026. He was the son of the late Osby Walker and Ozella Garrett Walker and a well-known member of Greenville’s historic Little Texas community. He was a proud graduate of Sterling High School, Class of 1963.

Obie dedicated nearly 30 years of service to WestPoint Stevens. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Baltimore Ravens, and had a deep appreciation for Motown and soul music. Known for his warm personality, kind spirit, and genuine love for others, Obie touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Chris; daughter, Katrina; devoted sisters, Doris and Charlotte; the mother of his children, Bobbie; his uncle, John (Mary); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
