Mr. Michael Anthony Downs

Mr. Michael Anthony Downs, 65, husband of Linda Freeman Downs, transitioned on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. He was a son of the late Tommie Lee Downs Sr. and Theresa Lantion Downs.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Shauntell Monique Downs; two grandchildren, Bella Downs and Dallas Downs; three sisters, Linda Smiley, Melissa (Darren) Holland, and Mary Riser; three brothers, Tommie L. (Yvonne) Downs Jr., Kendrick (Gwyn) Downs, and Johnny (Juanita) Downs; his aunt, Ida Mae Sullivan; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary, with interment private. The service will also be streamed live; streaming information will be provided by the funeral home.
