Mr. Melvin Eugene Dirton, 68, of High Point, North Carolina, husband of Margaret LaCue Dirton for 12 years, transitioned on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Wake Forest Medical Center, Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Surviving, in addition to his wife: three daughters, Sharon Dirton (Adam) Blake of Concord, NC, Jasmine Dirton of Greenville, SC and Astin Jenkins of Simpsonville, SC; bonus daughter, Jasmine LaCue of High Point, NC; three sisters, Gloria Dirton of Fort Worth, TX; Chris Williams (James) Tate of Greenville, SC and Jacqueline Williams (Isaac) Rabb; three brothers, Gerald McGreer of Greenville, SC; Monroe Dawson, of Greenville, SC; Ronnie Williams, of Spartanburg, SC; six grandchildren,: and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, April 11, 2026, 4:30pm, at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
