Mr. Joseph "Fat Tyrone" Tolbert

Mr. Joseph “Fat Tyrone” Tolbert, 49, of Greenville, South Carolina, transitioned on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Lonnie (Brenda) Barton and the late James “JT” and Evonne Sullivan Tolbert.

Surviving, in addition to his father: two daughters, Tyquanah Tolbert of the home and Quazanaquia Barber of Greenville, SC; four sons, Dontavious Talley, Joquacear Tolbert, Mekhi Bohannon all of Greenville, SC; one sister, Allison Smith of Greenville, SC; six brothers, Shannon Tolbert of Greenville, SC, J. Eddie (Regina) Bryson of Simpsonville, SC, Thomas Griffen of Morganton, NC, Eddie Cheeks of Greer, SC, Andre Ballenger of Greenville, SC and Patrick Tolbert of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Tyus Talley, Denaeja Mapp and Dariq Mapp; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, April 12, 2025, 1:00pm at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens
