Mr. John Henry Heyward

Mr. John Henry Heyward, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, husband to Cora Lee Heyward, of the home, transitioned on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his residence. Born in Beauford, SC; he was the son of the late Thomas Heyward, and Blanch Chaplin.

Surviving: in addition to his wife, one daughter, Deborah Smith, of New York; three sons, John Smith, Jr., of New York; Reginald Heyward,, and Ja’velle Heyward, both of Greenville, SC; four sisters, Elnora (Gene) Rhodes, Joyce Golden Davis, Rebecca Edward Jackson, and Thomas Luhm, three brothers, Melvin Heyward, Lonnie (Barbara) Heyward, and Jackie (Willie Mae) Heyward, all of Atlanta, GA; one grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, June 23, 2025, 2:00pm, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, with interment on Monday, June 23, 2025, 11:00am in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
