Mr. Jessie R. "Tex" Taylor

Mr. Jessie R. “Tex” Taylor, 78, of Greenville, husband of Sharon Allmond-Taylor, transitioned on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Ferriday LA; he was the son of the late Mary Brown.

Surviving: in addition to his wife, one daughter, Lavonda (Todd) Large, of Philadelphia, PA; bonus daughter, Erica Posey, of Greenville, SC; three bonus sons, Elvis Posey, Robbie Fleming, and David Tinch, all of Greenville, SC; one sister, Gloria (Pub) Marsha, of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Robert (Floree) Taylor, of Greenville, SC; and Billy (Gwen) Taylor, of Dayton, OH; thirty three grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
