Jeremiah Archie known fondly by many as ‘Archie’ was born December 11, 1956, to the late William Archie IV and Dorothy Walker Archie of Greenwood, SC. Jeremiah was educated in the Greenwood Public Schools, graduating from Greenwood High in 1975. He attended Clemson University in Clemson, SC, where he obtained his BS Degree in Industrial Management in 1981. While at Clemson University he joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Jeremiah previously worked for Auto Zone prior to obtaining employment with Norfolk Southern Railway.

Archie enjoyed traveling and socializing with family and his fraternity brothers. He liked playing tennis. Archie possessed a very outgoing personality, and he was a great conversationalist. You either liked him or you didn’t. Jeremiah was a God fearing individual and a devoted member and Trustee of Sweet Canaan Baptist Church in Piedmont, SC.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of thirty-eight years, Lucy Chenault Archie, two sons Bradley Chenault (Galiece) Archie, and Andrew Alexander Arche of Easley, SC. He also leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Penelope Archie of Baltimore, MD. and Jeanine Minor (Kevin) of Easley, SC, one brother George Christia of Greenwood SC. Jeremiah also had three brothers that proceeded him in death: William, Michael and Jonathan Archie. Additionally, Archie is survived by three sister-in-laws Vivian Archie, Vera Scott Arche and Jamesina Chenault (David) Cason. One brother -in- law Kenneth J. Chenault. Aunt Mary Ann Chenault, Uncle Marion Chenault, God sons, Jason Wright, Rashad Sullivan and Bryran Best and host of nieces and nephews and many devoted friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday, May 10, 2025, 12:00pm at Sweet Caanan Baptist Church with burial private.
