Mr. James Robert Young, 84, of Greenville, transitioned on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Prisma Healthcare Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany, Georgia, he was the son of the late Jessie Mae Lyles.
Surviving: two daughters, Sharon Young Bailey, of Inman, SC; Crystal Monique Young (James) McBee, of Greenville, SC; two sons, Mitchell Sims, of Anderson, SC; Jamal (Daphne) Coleman, and Jaquel Cheeks, of Laurens, SC; one brother, Howard (Brenda) Lyles, of Athens, GA; seventeen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Thursday, February 5, 2026, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment Greenlawn Memorial Park, at 3:30pm.
