Mr. James Edward "Boy" Brownlee

Mr. James Edward “Boy” Brownlee, 81, of Greenville, South Carolina, husband of Helen Jackson Brownlee, transitioned on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Patewood Post Acute. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Sarah Frances “Toot” Brownlee Josey.

Surviving, in addition to his wife: two daughters, Deborah Cureton and Carol D. Brownlee; two sons, Pierre (Pamela) Gary and Christopher Brownlee; two bonus sons, Jacob Jackson-Brown and Steven Paul Jackson both of Greenville, SC; one sister, Minister Barbara Ann Josey of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Willie Brownlee and Richard Josey both of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
