Mr. Furman Benjamin Makins

Mr. Furman Benjamin Makins, 84, of Greenville, South Carolina, widower of the late  Nell Johnson Makins, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Holly Johnson and was raised in the home of Robert and Lucille B. Baker Makins.

Surviving: three daughters, Rebecca (Walter) Wilson of Greenville, SC, Kathy M. (Derrick) Grady of Fountain Inn, SC, and Teresa L. Makins (Darius) of Commings, GA; two sisters, Lydia L (Reverend William) Hampton of Taylors, SC, and Frankie Teague (Kenny) Wright of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 18, 2025, 11:00am, at Watkins, Garrett and Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
