Mr. Eddie Oree Smith, 73, of Piedmont, husband of Laura Jackson Smith for 37 years, transitioned on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Southpointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James and Ruth Cheatham Smith.
Surviving in addition to his wife: two daughters, Chasite Youmans of Greenville, SC and Chanay (Marcus) Jamison of Simpsonville, SC; one son, Shundaral Smith of Fountain Inn, SC; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, January 28, 2026, 2:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Old Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
