Mr. Clarence Mathis, Jr.

Mr. Clarence Mathis, Jr., 75, of Greenville, South Carolina, companion of Bernice Harrison, transitioned on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Prisma Healthcare Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Leavenworth, Kansas, he was a son of the late Clarence Sr., and Willie Lynn Gilmore Mathis.

Surviving, in addition to his companion: four daughters, Mona Lynn Mathis of Philadelphia, Marcella Mathis (Julian) West of Moore, SC, Sheena Mathis and Michelle Mathis both of Los Angeles, CA; two sons, Clarence Mohammed Mathis of Marrietta, GA and David Mathis of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Brenda Brown of Greenville, SC and Nancy Mathis of Evans, GA; two brothers, Willie (Patty) Mathis of Salem, Oregon and Waddell Mathis of Atlanta, GA; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Sunday, April 13, 2025, 2:00pm at Israel Metropolitan Christian Methodist Church with interment private.
