Mr. Chico E. "Ramone" Dawson

Mr. Chico E. "Ramone" Dawson, 64, of Greenville, South Carolina, husband to Shelley M. Dawson, transitioned on Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Wash and Pearley M. Dawson.

Surviving: in addition to his wife, of the home, two daughters, Kimberly (Gabriel) Champion, of Elmwood, NJ; and Chrissy Boland, of Newark, NJ; six sons, Chico E. Stephens, of Newark, NJ; Sharif McClain, of Anderson, SC; Jarrett (Mariel) Williams Dawson, and Justin Dawson, both of Greenville, SC; Talibdeen McClain, of Spartanburg, SC;  and Norman, Butts, of Newark, NJ; one sister, Ramona Dawson-Porter, of Paterson, NJ; one brother, Timothy E. Dawson, of Paterson, NJ; twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren;, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 11:00am, at New Harvest Ministries, with interment in MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.
