Mrs. Charlie Rudell Chiles, 87, of Greenville, widow of the late James Benjamin Chiles, transitioned on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at St. Francis Downtown. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry Jackson and Mamie Ellen Yeargin.
Surviving: two daughters, Sandra Chiles and Mary Ann (Eugene) McCarroll both of Greenville; one son, James L. Chiles of Greenville, SC; two sisters Catherine Yeargin and Johnnie Lee Yeargin both of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Samuel Lee Yeargin and Roger Edward Yeargin both of Greenville, SC and Reverend Jesse Jackson of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday, February 7, 2026, 1:00pm at Springfield Baptist Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
