Mr. Charles Smith

Mr. Charles Smith, 82, of Piedmont, South Carolina, husband of Sonja Starks Mickler-Smith for 25 years, transitioned on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greer, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Henry Smith and Mae Troy Grayson.

Surviving, in addition to his wife: one daughter, Stacie Griffin (Samuel Abney) of Taylors, SC; three sons, Derrick (Renee) Smith of Easley, SC, Bryant Smith of Charlotte, NC and Jordan (Mariah) Smith of Minneapolis, MN: five grandchildren; one bonus son, Johnny Mickler, Jr. of Greenville, SC; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00am, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment private.
