Mr. Charles Lee Pickens

Deacon Charles Lee Pickens, 80, of Greenville, husband of Mrs. Valerie Johnson Pickens for 33 years, transitioned on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Alma Mansell Pickens.

Surviving, in addition to his wife: two daughters, Jalisa Pickens and Valerie Hodge, both of Greenville, SC; four sons, Deron Poole of Greenville, SC, Yale Poole of Greenville, SC, Charles Pickens of New York and Travis Johnson of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, May 2, 2026, 2:00pm, at Shady Oak Missionary Baptist Church, with interment on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 1:00pm, M. J.  "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
