Mr. Bennie Lamonte "Mont" Smith

Mr. Bennie Lamonte “Mont” Smith, 55, of Greenville, transitioned on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Sharon Bell Smith and the late Bennie Lewis Smith.

Surviving, in addition to his mother: his fiancé, April Tucker, of the home; one daughter, Shanay (Joshua) Roberts, of Piedmont, SC; one son, Andre (April) Childs, of Greenville, SC; four sisters, Sabrina (Cecil) Sitton and Angela Young, both of Greenville, SC, Rachel Smith, of Anderson, SC, and Felecia Smith, of Greenville, SC; one brother, Stacy Smith, of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, September 20, 2026, 4:30PM, at Watkins, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary, interment private.
