Mary Irby

Mrs. Mary Louise “May” Irby, 70, of Columbia, passed on February 11, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center, Columbia. She was a daughter of the late Charles Burdine and Malvina Ledbetter Burdine.


Surviving: two daughters, Dorothy (Nove Lee) Foster and Annie L. Smith, both of Columbia; two sons, James L. (Crystal) Irby of Killeen, TX, and Jeffery Burdine of Greenville; four sisters, Wilmatine Bowmen of Birmingham, AL, Josie Burdine, Diane Burdine and Beverly (Johnny) Booker, all of Greenville; four brothers, Bishop A.L. (Orrie) Burdine of Easley, Freddie (Teresa) Burdine, Percy Burdine and Rev. J.R. (Ursla) Burdine, Sr., all of Greenville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
