Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Ellen” Harvey, 74, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2018, at her home. She was a daughter of the late John David and Flossie Sloan Abercrombie.
“Ellen” was a graduate of Greenville High School System and she received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Greenville Technical College. She was a retiree of the Greenville News Company and a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Wardell Harvey, II; a daughter,, Geraldine McGee; and a sister, Martha Mae Abercrombie.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two daughters, Miranda Williams and Brenda J. Robinson, both of Greenville; two sons, James W. (Regina) Harvey, III, and Clayton S. Harvey, both of Greenville; one sister, Martha Abercrombie of Greenville; three brothers, James (Debra) Sloan, Nicholas Sloan and Johnny David Abercrombie, all of Greenville; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
