Mrs. Mamie Lee Chapman Hearst, 88, of Greenville, South Carolina, widow of the late Herbert “HW” Hearst for 63 years, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was the daughter of the late Ira Chapman, Sr., and Lula Kilgore Chapman.
She is survived by one son, Gregory Hearst of Simpsonville, SC; two bonus daughters, Shirley (Arthur) Lewis of Greenville, SC and Paula Hearst of Wilmington, DE; a goddaughter, Selena Mitchell of Greenville, SC; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Sunday, February 18, 2024, 1:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
