Mr. J.W. “Jake” Robinson, Sr., 88, of 406 Arlington Avenue, Greenville, passed on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at his home. He was a son of the late Columbus Robinson and Artress Vernon Robinson.
Surviving: his wife, Barbara Holcombe Robinson of the home; three daughters, Min. Doris (Rev. Terry) Gamble of Simpsonville, Elder Brenda (Curtis) Duckett of Greenville, and Sylvia (Kenneth) Hunt of Simpsonville; three sons, Roosevelt (Beverly) Robinson of Greenville, J.W. Robinson, Jr., of Clinton, and Ricky (Tanesha) Robinson of Greenville; one sister, Bessie Ellison of Mauldin; two brothers, James Byrd and Robert (Lois) Byrd all of Greenville; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
