Johnny Ray Abercrombie

Mr. Johnny Ray Abercrombie 70, of Greenville, SC transitioned into eternity on Friday June 7, 2024, at Prisma Health. He was the son of the late Cornell Robert Lee Abercrombie and Dora Mae Fuller – Pratt. 

He was a graduate of Fuller Normal School. He worked several years at Dow Brands and then retired from Sunland Distribution. Johnny was an avid fisherman, skater and a fan of old school music. For those that knew him, knows he was the Washington Red Skins number one fan!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Delores Abercrombie Dawkins. Johnny leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories are two daughters; Norlishia Armstrong of Greenville, SC, Erica Burts-Brewster (Cedric) of Simpsonville, one son, Johnathan Rashad Abercrombie of Simpsonville, SC. A loving sister, Leona Knuckles of the home, a brother Andrew Abercrombie of Greenville, SC and five grandchildren. He also leaves aunts Mary Sligh (Nathaniel), Barbara Beeks and Frances Thomason, and one uncle Louis Fuller all of Greenville, SC., a devoted niece Angela Green, nephews Jamario and Andre Green of the home, George Green, Jr. (Misha) of Mauldin, SC, and Andrew Fernandez of Welford, SC. A special great-nephew Jamarleon Green of the home and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Johnny Ray Abercrombie's legacy of love, joy, and dedication to family and friends will be forever remembered and cherished.

Funeral Services: Saturday, June 22, 2024, 2:00pm, at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with interment in Church Cemetery.
