Mr. Johnnie Robert “TJ” Gartrell, II, 60, of Simpsonville, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Camp Lejuene, NC, he was the son of the late Johnnie Robert and Bertha Mae Brooks Gartrell, Sr.
Surviving: wife, Gerlie Tumaneng Gartrell of the home; daughters, Jamaiya Gartrell and Jana Gartrell, both of the home; sistes, Deasi Gartrell of Greenville, Rosa Jackson of Greenville, and Angelina Scott of Charlotte, NC; brother, Joshua (Cathy) Gartrell of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
