Mr. Joel Francis Garrett born May 16, 1966, to the late John W. (Jake) and Mary Josephine Ferguson Garrett of Easley, South Carolina, he departed this life on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Prisma Health of Greenville from a short illness.

He attended Pickens County Schools and later received his GED. Joel worked for many years at 123 Upholstery Shop in Easley, South Carolina where he enjoyed doing upholstery work. 

Joel leaves to cherish many fond memories one daughter, Alexander (Scoota) (Darrell) Mitchell of Anderson, South Carolina, two grandchildren, Dakota and Dallas Mitchell; two sisters, Rebecca Ferguson of Easley, SouthCarolina and Anita Garrett of Mauldin, South Carolina; two brothers Ronald (Theatrice) Garrett of Easley, South Carolina, and Timothy (Pamella) Garrett of Berea, South Carolina; one niece reared in the home, Tiffany Garrett of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one aunt, Rev. Jeanette Hicks of Easley, South Carolina; two uncles Kenneth Frazier of Easley, South Carolina, and Minister Roylee (Doretha)  Garrett of Piedmont, South Carolina; and a host of other beloved family and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, May 2, 2026, 11:00am, at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
