In Loving Memory of Jennifer Slaughter

July 31, 1974 – October 18, 2026

On October 18th, 2026, Jennifer Slaughter gracefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of vibrant joy, unshakeable faith, and boundless love. Born on July 31, 1974, in Newark, New Jersey, to her cherished parents, Ray Barnhill and Rene Slaughter, Jennifer brought warmth and light into the world from the very beginning.

Jennifer’s love lives on through her proudest legacy and only son, Antoine Neely; her beloved siblings, Tanya (Brian) and Ray; her nephews Brian, and Keith(Ikia) and her loving parents, Ray Barnhill and Rene Slaughter. She also leaves behind a host of extended family, her cherished church family, and dear friends who were blessed by her grace, laughter, and uplifting presence.

Jennifer was a devoted mother, sister, and friend whose radiant personality and positive outlook were truly contagious. A passionate believer, she walked through life with a devoted Christian heart, finding constant strength, hope, and purpose in her faith. In 2001, Jennifer made South Carolina her home, where her warmth and welcoming spirit flourished.

Driven by a deep passion for helping others, Jennifer pursued her education at ECPI, graduating in the Class of 2009 as a Certified Medical Assistant. She dedicated her career to serving her community through her work with ENT and in OBGYN offices, bringing comfort, kindness, and healing hands to countless patients throughout the years.

Jennifer embraced life’s beautiful moments with enthusiasm. Her favorite color was vibrant red, matching her spirited and lively energy. She found true serenity at the beach and had a deep, innate appreciation for classical music. Demonstrating her impressive determination and artistic talent, Jennifer was self-taught on both the piano and the flute.

Among her greatest everyday joys were her beloved pets, Milo and Eddie, and the magical excitement of the holidays. Jennifer loved celebrating special occasions, but she was especially known for her deep and unconditional love for Christmas, bringing festive cheer and beautiful traditions to everyone around her.

Her faith and dedication shone brightly at New Life in Christ Ministries, where she served faithfully as the Pastor’s Aide President. Jennifer poured her heart and energy into her church home, taking immense pride in decorating and keeping the house of God welcoming, beautiful, and pristine for all.
